Aqua and Yellow Delight

I got inspired by this tablecloth recently.  So while perfect husband was out of town I decided to play with dishes for a while.  I'm not ready to say a total goodbye to summer yet.

I just love the way the vintage linens always clean up and iron so beautifully (althought you cannot tell from this photo!)

It looks like wisteria to me, only it's aqua instead of blue.

Notice this cute little bird.  Pier One had only one napkin ring

Even though I couldn't come up with a really nice centerpiece (which is common for me) I am pleased with the table.    Beesides, who needs a centerpiece once the food is served.

The dinner plates are Lifetime China "Turquoise Magnolia"  (I didn't show the entire plate);
the bird salad plates I picked up at Marshall's and are Maxcera, "Cera Blanco Bird";
the flatware is Reed and Barton, "Asian Bird" that I got on sale this year;
the glassware is from Ross (I think) and is recycled glass;
the little aqua and yellow plates I've  had for a long time and usually use for appetizers;
the napkins are just some plain white I've had for a long time.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I am joining Susan, our wonderful hostess at Between Naps on the Porch for her Tablescape Thursday.  There are wonderful posts through her party that are truly inspirational.

  16. Hi Sue I have a hard time with great center pieces as well, but I do manage a small one of some sort. I wanted to do the TST but I guess it started a day early, I was planning on putting my last summer one up tomorrow but I see I am to late.

    I love your bird plates they are just adorable. I love the one bird napkin ring. I am wondering what you do with one napkin ring perhaps you can work that into a center piece design at some point. This is really a pretty TS. Love it, I am ready to eat! big hugs
